Another wonderful update

Well I spent a few hours tonight working on the tomb and I think it looks pretty swell. All it needs now is some paint on the new features and some walls and we can start bashing some goblins...well,I need to get some first..that and the rest of the Fellowship..and a Cave Troll wouldn't hurt too..Ok,its clearly obvious that my collection is a little limited at the moment but hopefully Ebay may provide.Anyhoo, heres the progress so far

Not much to report

Well it has been a bit since my last posting(sorry, some unexpected things came up so yeah),anyhoo,as of before I went to write this I had 499 pageviews and two followers(which ain't bad in my honest opinion).Alrighty, earlier I had installed the drive shaft into my 21 year old ford ranger but I still gotta drain and refill the tranie fluid and change/reconnect the battery cables as well then she'll be drivable(Yay!).Now for a Mines of Moria update,I've been able to cut out the wood part of the board and glue on the gate on top of the hex map(same printoff as last time) and have the outer raised up "shelf" with the stairs by the main gate all installed.I'm gonna have to spray paint the foam part but that shouldn't be to hard, also to make everything else look good i'm going to spray paint the outer walls and any exposed area of the boards that isn't part of it so to say black so it'll all look MUCH better(the interiors are nice but the exterior..  :^p  blagh).Ok then,i'm gonna go work on it for the first time in a week(well maybe almost, idr)

Stair Case of DOOM:part 2

Ok,once again in record time(thanks much to the help of a artistically gifted little sister) another section of moria has been completed,I posted pics of when it was primed earlier(black with what was left of my gray..Thank God for making spray paint) and then did a healthy drybrush (well it was pretty wet so idk) of a dark gray on the brick work(and a lot on the ruined part I added on after it was sprayed). Then last but not least a lighter gray on the tiles/hexes with dark gray lines for hexes where there was multiple next to each other, all I got to do is seal it in the morning.

The Stair Case of DOOM!

Well no actually, just more picture updates of my Durin's Causeway based off of "lotrscenerybuilder.org" Hex based one.Turning out pretty good, lol.(Oh,and one of my Helm's Deep side project)

MoM update (2)

Alright, its been nearly a week(sorry) but I got my Lord of the Rings Tradeable Miniature Game Starter Set on thursday(mail didn't come wensday on account of the weather) and I have played 4 games of it so far and I have to say that it trumps SBG anyday of the week(except on account of having to make terrain in 40mm hexs...it can be a pain).ANYHOO,back to the Mines of Moria update, well you all saw the pics (well, mightive) of the pillars before I painted them but what I did today is spray em and seal em along with the walls for my main hall.Ok,my plan for the actual main hall is that there will be several door ways so that they can enter into the tomb through the gate then when they exit out the back crackway you pull the tomb around to the other side and they enter the hall from the other side and then get surround by gobs, and then keep running across to the gate(same one as earlier) and go through Durin's causeway(stairs) and at the bottom they come out the same gate and go left towards the bridge(which by the way is a "add-on" part of it).Anyhoo, after working hard at it for over the weekend my sister(Tink) who did alot of painting (including the Balrog back drop and floor) and me were able to get the main hall secton 100% done.On the to-do list is the stairs(drew out the plans earlier),the Chamber of Records(gonna take a weekend in itself I think),the Hall add-on(two extra pillars bringing the total to 6,the crack in the wall for the tomb exit, and the crevice for the bridge),then the actual bridge itself.Oh,and sometime between completion and now I'll hopefully get a Balrog,Cave Troll,a bunch of gobbos, and the rest of the fellowship($18 for a Borimir and Gandalf each is a little stiff).

MoM update

For those of you who may not know I have a WIP thread on the One-Ring site but I kinda scrapped the project until last week where I started it again for use with LotR TMG,anyhoo, here are some pics of the Pillars so far(with some SBG minis running around for the heck of it). Also I plan on having the pillars to just be glued to some hex "bases" so to speak so that way I can remove them for storage and transportation.
