Tomb finished for now

Okay,I have finally hauled the tomb from out of my closet and repaired and paint everything there is to do.One problem though,I am out of spray paint and glue so the walls are gonna have to wait but I'm still moving it to the garage. My main project at the moment is now to try and get as much as possible of my Helm's Deep done(I started working on that 2nd or 3rd week of December and it has been a drag let me tell you).I actually have dragged it into my room and it will fill the now vacant spot left by the tomb in my closet...Thats actually one of the big pluses for SBG is that its a smaller scale, then again a drawback for SBG is its smaller scale.Anyhoo, here are some pics.

P.S. Hope you all enjoy my cave troll

Goggles

Ok,I've decided to post pictures and brief descriptions of two pairs of goggles I have made recently so here they are.
Well the black and grey one I made last friday and is made out of a bunch of plastic (uck),while the one on the right is made out of leather and tin coated bronze (I think),only the strap is made out of pleather (the back side of it is coated with "velvet") while the rest is real.

I made them yesterday and I think they came out rather nicely.

I still don't really know what to think of these guys.

It is a danged pain trying to see out of these guys.

I personally think they make me look like "Moaning Murtle" from Harry Potter.I actually still need to find lens for these (gonna try for glass though),didn't think of that when I made em (shows right?).

Of conventions and bargains

Well I went to my first "official" Gaming convention yesterday and while I was there I found a "Deluxe Edition Lord of the Rings Tradeable Miniatures Game Starter set" for $20! I bought that and have greatly increased my supply of troops and also dressed steampunk(which I love btw) so here are some pics of me playing SBG as well:

My collection at the moment

Ok,well I've been busy with school and helping getting this years garden going but I just got some figures from my friend Sean who is a LotR TMG player from Toronto,Ontario,Canada (which I googled by the way and its 394 miles away (quikest route) and 6 hours and 49 minutes, but I doubt thats including traffic or customs).Anyhoo,so I layed out all my non-duplicates on the floor and sorted them by alignment and faction, then I had an idea to take a picture of my smallish but growing collection but I couldn't get a good shot so I smushed em all together and and then took a picture with all the "Official" LotR TMG dice I have as well.Anyhoo, hope yall enjoy, but now that I have 3 extra starter Lurtzs I think I'm going to turn em into Uruk-Hai warriors or something (simple really, print out the proper base stats, paint a hand on his shield to tell him apart and maybe move the limbs around a little bit for added differentness).Cheers --Nate--

Apologies

Ok,its been a while since I've posted so I must apologize about that.Things have been busy,I got my license,I took hunter safety,my sister's birthday came up,been broke, have had a job interview(12:45 this morning) and the second interview for the position is tomorrow night at 11:30 so wish me luck.Lets see,I haven't done much for modeling except I FINALLY painted my Chamber of Records...But according to Murphey's Law my little cousin stepped on the throne area only 2 days after I painted it so that was kinda annoying.Okay then, also my folks got a bunch of games (Rebuilding San Jaun,Carcasonne(more like crackasonne),another one I can't remember,etc..) and one of them was Risk 2210 so we've played it a couple of times and I really REALLY like that game.So one thing I did was to look up expansions and I found that you can pretty much conquer half the solar system and a bunch of commanders...The best part is that its all free (except for the printing cost...I'm gonna get another cartridge before I print off mars or any of the territory cards...  :^/ ).Anyhoo,oh yeah, like I was typing,I love boardgamegeek.com for all their goodness, anyhoo,I gotta go and get ready for WinterJam tonight so toodles and ciao.

Another wonderful update

Well I spent a few hours tonight working on the tomb and I think it looks pretty swell. All it needs now is some paint on the new features and some walls and we can start bashing some goblins...well,I need to get some first..that and the rest of the Fellowship..and a Cave Troll wouldn't hurt too..Ok,its clearly obvious that my collection is a little limited at the moment but hopefully Ebay may provide.Anyhoo, heres the progress so far
